Mr. Batelli is currently the Chief of Police in a mid-sized North Jersey Police Department. During his career, Jim implemented and supervised a Traffic Bureau whose responsibilities included traffic engineering studies and the investigation of serious and fatal motor vehicle accidents.
In addition to his formal training at Rutgers University where he had received his Masters of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice, Jim received specialized training in the field of accident reconstruction from the Institute of Police Technology and Management, as well as regional police academies and continues his training at various conferences and seminars around the United States. Mr. Batelli is the reconstruction team leader for the northern region of the firms operating area. Jim was a charter member of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Fatal Accident Investigation Unit.
Since joining the firm in 1995, Jim has investigated and reconstructed hundreds of vehicle crashes for civil litigation. He has been fully certified as an Accident Reconstructionist by the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR).
